Women / Non-invasive prenatal testing

There are no requirements for this test, no need to go with an empty stomach. Neither is an appointment necessary, blood draws are performed from 8:00am – 10:30am from Monday to Friday.

The results are delivered after 7 and 15 days, depending on the test performed. Consult the availability of the different tests.

A non-invasive prenatal test is a genetic blood test that allows us to know if there is any alteration in chromosomes 21, 18 and 13 of the baby, which can generate some kind of syndrome (Down’s, Edwards and Patau’s syndrome) and the most common abnormalities generated by the sex chromosomes (X and Y). In a non-invasive prenatal test there is no risk for either the mother or the baby as there is no direct contact, so there is no risk of miscarriage. It is currently the most advanced test available.

This test can be performed on pregnant women from the 10th week of pregnancy.

In addition, you will be able to know if your baby will be a boy or a girl early so that you do not have to wait for the usual ultrasound.
