blood count, glucose, sideremia, toxoplasma IgG antigen, hepatitis B (hbs ag), coagulation (TP and TTPA), sediment urinalysis and urine culture.

It is necessary to come with an empty stomach for the extraction of blood. No previous appointment is necessary, the extractions are made from 8:00am – 10:30am from Monday to Friday.

The urine sample must be the first of the day and must be collected in a sterile container that can be purchased at pharmacies. Always avoid the first and last stream to rule out contamination of the urinary tract.

The results are delivered within 48-72 hours.

During pregnancy, different tests are usually performed in each trimester to check the health status of the mother and baby. They allow us to know if the pregnancy is progressing normally.

In the first trimester, around week 10, is when a more exhaustive analytical control is carried out. A basic blood test and a urine test are performed in which the following values are determined: blood count, glucose, cholesterol, creatinine, GPT, sideremia, total proteins, blood group, Rh, indirect Coombs, HIV antigen, rubella IgG antigen, hepatitis B (hbs ag), syphilis (RPR), toxoplasma IgG antigen, urinalysis with sediment and urine culture, biochemical screening 1T.

In the second trimester, between the 24th and 28th week of pregnancy, the second analysis is performed. The determinations to be made are hemogram, total proteins, hepatitis B (hbs ag), toxoplasma IgG antigen, O’Sullivan test, urinalysis with sediment and urine culture.

In the third trimesterbetween the 32nd and 34th week of pregnancy the last assessment is performed with a hemogram, glucose, sideremia, toxoplasma IgG antigen, hepatitis B (hbs ag), coagulation (TP and TTPA), urinalysis with sediment and urine culture.

The third trimester of a pregnancy is also important for the health of the mother-to-be and the baby.
